  Married: Ruth Marie seems to have had 3 or 4 marriages, only one of which is listed under Texas marriages is any database. "Texas County Marriage Records, 1817-1965" on Ancestry.com records her marriage to Alfred Leon Hunt on 2 May 1948 in Guadalupe County, however, no other citation for Mr. Hunt of any kind has been found. Substantial work on her family line by Emily Jo Russell Ruhnke as posted in her family tree on Ancestry.com: "Segraves-Ruhnke-Russell-Niesler Family Trees & Branches", but that tree does not reflect this marriage to Alfred Leon Hunt, nor does Ancestry have any additional information on that person. It is conceivable that Alfred Hunt died or left shortly after their marriage without leaving any record, however, that seems unlikely. The marriage record clearly show a marriage between Alfred Hunt and Ruth Marie Segraves in Guadalupe County, Texas. It is also unlikely that Emily Russell was unaware of Alfred Leon Hunt and of the marriage record. Confusingly, Emily posts a marriage for Ruth Marie to a Clifford Erven Stites (born 3 Oct 1919 in AR, died 7 Feb 1969 presumably in IL) on 9 Jan 1948. Emily's Tree does not indicate where this marriage took place, but the birth of their 3 children between 1952 and 1956 were all in San Antonio, TX. Clifford's FAG memorial records that he lived in Douglas County, IL in 1930 & in 1940 at age 20 when he should have been about 50. His wife is listed as Ruby, also age 20 and born in IL. Since "Arkansas County Marriages Index, 1937-1957" shows that Clifford Stites married Ruby Innes in Saline Co., AR in Aug 1938 when both were living in Hindsboro, Douglas, IL and they were living in Decatur, IL in 1942 and 1944, it seems unlikely that Clifford married Ruth Marie in 1948. However, the "Texas Birth Index, 1903-1997" on Ancestry lists two children born to Clifford E. Stites and Ruth Segraves, both in Bexar Co., TX: Russell Erven Stites on 18 Nov 1952 and Patricia Kathleen Stites on 23 Aug 1956. Their second child, Cheryl Annette, is recorded as being born to Rosemary H. Streight. Apparently, according to Emily's tree, Rosemary 'Mary' H. Streight, married Clifford Erven Stites sometime after 1957 and Ruth Marie was the biological mother of Cheryl but Rosemary Streight adopted Cheryl after she married her father, Clifford Stites. Clifford is listed on Findagrave.com as born 3 Oct 1919 in Arkansas and died 7 Feb 1969 in Glasgow, Barren County, Kentucky with no mention of a marriage to Ruth Segraves or to Rosemary Streight. Those records suggest that Ruth Marie and Clifford Erven were married and living in San Antonio in the early 1950s A third man in Texas may also have been a husband of Ruth Marie: David Myron Kimball. Emily's Tree list him as a spouse with no source or other details. The US Public records Index, 1950-1993" on Ancestry lists a Ruth M. Kimball, born 11 Nov 1924, as residing at 237 Galvin Dr., Seguin, Guadalupe County, TX in 1993. David Myron Kimball, born 3 Nov 1921, is also listed at that same address in 1993 and both are listed at unknown years at 12810 Weeping Oak Trail in Live Oak, Bexar County, TX and at 304 Magnolia Ln, Covington, St. Tammany Parish, LA. David M. Kimball, born about 1922, is listed on the "Texas Divorce Index, 1968-2014" as divorcing Dorothy B. Kimball in Bexar Co., TX on 7 Sep 1973, so if he subsequently married Ruth Marie it would have been after 1973. David died in 1992 and his obituary names his surviving wife as Ruth Kimball "of Seguin", presumably our Ruth Marie Segraves.
